Earlier it was confirmed that Tim Blake Nelson, previously seen in The Incredible Hulk (2008) will be reprising his role as Samuel Sterns in Captain America Brave New World but not as the same person. That sounded confusing, right? Let me simplify it. In the 2008 movie, we saw that Sterns got contaminated with Bruce Banner’s blood which started to transform him but we did not get to see what became of him after that.
Now, after so many years, we finally get the answer to that. Just like in the comics, after being infected with Banner’s gamma-infused blood, Sterns turned into a supervillain named The Leader. In Captain America Brave New World, Samuel Sterns/The Leader will be the main villain and is behind everything we have seen so far in the trailer.
