The blue robot we see Superman crying over in the trailer is Kelex . He is the primary caretaker of Superman’s Fortress of Solitude and when Superman has a lot on his hands, Kelex looks after Krypto. Superman is attached to Kelex since he is technically the last gift his parents left for him which also explains why Superman would grieve if something were to happen to him.
