Yes, Stranger Things Season 5 Episode 8 doesn’t bid us goodbye without a killing, but it’s an unexpected death that you wouldn’t have feared, I believe. While fans were expecting that the series would certainly kill one of the major characters, it surprised us by taking a different route. The only one to meet her dark fate in the end was Kali , who never got to be a crucial part until this season.

After being influenced by Vecna, when Hopper pulls Eleven out of the bath, Max returns to the real world, while Kali and Eleven find themselves back at the Hawkins’ lab in the Upside Down. The Military soon ambushes them, but Eleven is nowhere to be found. They capture Hopper and Kali- Eleven is missing again.

Lieutenant Akers pressurizes Hopper to reveal Eleven’s location by taking Kali hostage. However, when Hopper denies, Akers shoots Kali on the left side. However, that was only a fluke, as Akers was trying to frighten Hopper rather than actually shoot Kali.

On the other side, Murray launches a bomb attack on the Hawkins lab, and that’s when Kali gets killed at the hands of Akers. By the time El and Hopper approach her, he has lost a lot of blood. Kali says that she knew that her story would end here, but in addition, she says to Eleven that she knows that her sister has a long way to go.

The film centers around the Hargreeves siblings, who reunite after the death of their adoptive father. Each one of them has some ability, and one way or another, the siblings are dragged into tackling issues like alternate timelines and the end of the world. Of course, The Umbrella Academy might’ve disappointed many of us fans in the end, but if you can digest an underwhelming end, it’s for sure an amazing show to watch.

The events recorded in these videotapes lead Turner on a mystery hunt where he comes across threats like alternate dimensions, occult rituals, and a cult.

Sure, Archive 81 may take some time to grab your interest, but once it does, you stay in it until you see it to the very end. It not only entertains you with a variety of characters, but it also questions you on every stage by making you question what’s real or not.
