Dandadan Season 1 has bid us goodbye with Episode 12, and we can’t deny that we miss Okarun and Momo already. The manga series was already popular before the anime, but now, we can confidently say that it will attract new readers after they finish watching the adaptation on Netflix.
The story made the series worth giving a shot, but the way Science SARU animated the show surely contributed heavily to the first season’s success. Dandadan Season 1 covered the events up to manga chapter 33. However, some parts, like Momo relaxing in the hot spring district and the arrival of the Gators, were taken from Chapter 34. So you can read the Dandadan manga from Chapter 34 after completing Season 1, and you will first witness the debut of Naki Kito.
While Momo deals with the Gators, Naki Kito approaches Jiji and Okarun. It would be interesting to see if the boys can tackle the new threat or if will Momo arrive on time to save them.
The first season of Dandadan featured the Turbo Granny Arc, Acrobatic Silky Arc, and Serpo Arc in their entirety. Besides that, the events of the final two episodes were taken from the first 7 chapters of the Cursed House Arc.
Dandadan Season 2 is confirmed to be released in July 2025, and it will pick up from the events of Chapter 34, which will see Momo fighting the Gators.
Is the Dandadan Manga Finished?
No, the Dandadan manga is still not finished and is still ongoing. The creator hasn’t yet revealed his plans for the ending of the series. So, we can say that the manga has many more chapters to go. The manga currently has nine arcs that consist of 177 chapters at the time of writing. The ongoing arc is named the ‘Pigmy Princess Arc,’ which has 12 chapters at the moment.
Now that the second season is on the horizon, we can expect it to feature the events from the next 33 or 34 chapters. Based on that, the sequel will likely adapt the following arcs from the manga:
- Cursed House Arc (Chapter 34 – Chapter 50)
- Evil Eye Arc (Chapter 51 – Chapter 62)
- Kaiju Arc (Chapter 63 – possibly up to Chapter 66)

What to Expect from Dandadan Season 2 Episode 9?
The previous episode 8 of Dandadan was one of the best in the series, with Okarun and Aira taking down the Music Room Portraits. Moments after defeating them, Okarun came back to Momo’s home to challenge Evil Eye. As the final moments of the previous episode teased, we are all set to experience an exhilarating rematch between Okarun and Evil Eye in the next episode of Dandadan, which airs on August 28, 2025.

Okarun trained well under Turbo Granny and has greatly improved his agility. This final clash between two monsters will eventually wrap up the Evil Eye arc in the anime (See all the Dandadan arcs in Order here).
