Recently, Dan Trachtenberg, the director of Predator: Badlands, spoke to IGN, where he confirmed the timeline in which Predator: Badlands takes place. According to him, a lot of things were happening when they were making the movie.
Alien: Romulus was not out yet, and they were aware of Alien: Earth happening. So, to make sure that nothing collides with each other, Predator: Badlands takes place in the distant future in the Predator timeline . In his comment, Dan said-
“There was a lot going on when we were making this movie. Alien: Romulus was not yet out, and I hadn’t seen it yet. And Alien: Earth , I was aware of happening but not sure where that was going to end up, So we decided to set ourselves well into the future. So all the stuff that has happened would have happened before our movie … and I’m cognizant of how in this day and age, with all the media that we have, some of it can feel like homework. And you have to remind yourself where in a timeline does this sit between this movie and that movie. And I really did not want that to be the case with Badlands.”
So, with that being said, it is now confirmed that we don’t have to worry about the timeline of Predator getting messed up because of the massive time gap between the last movie and Badlands. However, since this flick is being considered somewhat of a reboot and its apparent connection to the Alien franchise, there are strong prospects of a future Alien Vs Predator movie. Universal Pictures and Vin Diesel have revealed that the final Fast and Furious movie will be titled “Fast Forever” and will be released on March 17, 2028. The star took to Instagram , where he posted the reveal along with a picture of him and Paul Walker from the first movie. In his post, Vin Diesel wrote-

The Fast and the Furious franchise has given us some iconic movies. Earlier, the movies were highly awaited by fans. However, recent movies have not been as influential as the previous ones, but the finale of this long-running franchise has fans waiting for its release.
