Valorant’s 2025 season is in full swing, but we haven’t seen any huge meta shake-ups—until now. For most of the year, team comps have revolved around one agent. Yep, you guessed it: Tejo. At the anniversary announcement, Riot finally confirmed that big nerfs were on the way for the over-picked agent. And with the latest Valorant patch notes, they’re here. If you’re looking for all the changes in the latest update, here are the full Valorant 10.09 patch notes.
Valorant is one of the few games that suddenly nerfs or buffs a character right after a few months of its release. Well, things definitely went sideways with how Tejo in Valorant worked. While Valorant patch notes 10.00 were all about his debut, 10.09 is all about balancing him. Along with that, the update also addresses some bugs and general fixes.

All Tejo Changes in Valorant Patch Notes 10.09
In the patch notes, Riot finally addressed Tejo’s dominance in the meta. They admitted he’s been overperforming and pointed to his Guided Salvo rockets as a key issue. The ability has been swinging rounds too easily, with less risk compared to other Initiators.

Riot is increasing the commitment required to use it effectively, making poor or rushed casts more punishable. They’re also rebalancing Tejo’s economy, especially due to how strong the Stealth Drone has become.
“Tejo’s rockets have led to a higher frequency of unhealthy game states.”
With Valorant patch notes 10.09, the changes begin—and they’re aimed at giving opponents more breathing room round to round.
Guided Salvo
- Cost : 150
- Grants a free charge on round start
- Each individual rocket used will consume 1 charge.
- The cooldown has been removed.
- Map Targeting Range decreased from 55m to 45m.
Stealth Drone
- Cost : 300 »> 400
Special Delivery
- Cost : 300 »> 200
Armageddon
- Ult points increased from 8 to 9
Breach Changes in Valorant Patch Notes 10.09
Alongside fellow initiator Tejo, Breach also received a solid nerf in the Valorant patch notes 10.09. Specifically, the update focuses on Breach’s Fault Line. Riot Games said that they wanted to “increase the amount of situations where you could get out of Breach’s stun if you aren’t completely in the center.” As per the new update, the time until Fault Line detonates after its cast is increased from 1 second »> 1.2 seconds.
General Changes in Valorant Patch Notes 10.09
Gifting Buff
Responding to the community’s desire to spread the love (and maybe some sweet skins), Riot is bumping up the daily gifting limit. This was after Gifting was released recently, and the community shared their concern about the gifting limits. Starting May 15th, you’ll be able to send up to 10 gifts per day to your squadmates – that’s double the previous limit! This generous change coincides with the arrival of the Give Back // V25 Collection in the Featured Store. What’s even cooler is that every gift sent from this bundle isn’t just a treat for your friend; it’s also a contribution to charity. A win-win!
Swiftplay Game Mode Changes
For those of you who jump into the fast-paced action of Swiftplay, Riot’s got some tweaks to enhance your experience. Earning those powerful ultimates could feel like a stretch within the shorter rounds. To address this, Valorant is adjusting the starting ultimate points, giving you a much better chance to unleash your Agent’s signature ability before the half ends. This isn’t a one-off change either; it’s part of a broader effort to scale starting ultimate points based on each ultimate’s cost in Swiftplay.
Here’s the breakdown of the starting ultimate point adjustments:
- Breach : Rolling Thunder: 2 »> 3
- Killjoy : Lockdown: 2 »> 3
- Viper : Viper’s Pit: 2 »> 3
Get ready to see more game-changing ultimates in your Swiftplay matches!
All Bug Fixes and Known Issues
Along with all the changes, in the patch notes 10.09, Riot Games also addressed all the bug fixes and known issues. Here is the list of all the bug fixes and known issues Riot is working on:
Cosmetic Bug Fixes
- In Patch 10.08, we fixed a visual bug that was found in the Bolt skinline that caused the skins to glow brighter than intended after equipping and inspecting the Bolt Flex.
- We initially thought this bug could cause potential issues for photosensitive players. But after conducting extensive photosensitivity testing, we’ve concluded that there is no substantial risk. So we’ve decided to revert that bug fix and leave it as an Easter egg.
- Fixed a bug where Kill Banners for certain skins (Oni, Evori Dreamwings, EX.O, Prelude to Chaos, Mystbloom, and more) were appearing smaller than normal after the first kill.
Known Cosmetic Issues
- We’re aware of a bug with the Bolt skinline that is causing the skins to glow far brighter than normal.
- This is separate from the previous Bolt bug that was found, fixed, and reverted in this patch. This new bug causes Bolt skins to glow at an unacceptable brightness which could cause issues for photosensitive players and also affect competitive integrity.
- We will be fixing this bug with patch 10.11
Known Agents Issues
- We’re aware of an issue where Omen can enter his smoke targeting mode for Dark Cover, allowing dead allies to be able to see through Viper’s Pit or other nearsight effects
- We will be fixing this bug with patch 10.10

How to Access Valorant Night Market
I may have never been lucky in the skins department of the Valorant store, but the night market always thrills me for one reason. Yes, we’re talking about the Night Market skins reveal ceremony we have all seen our favorite streamers hype and enjoy. I am sure someone who never got a good night market also loves this part.
Well, it is not a ceremony-like thing but follow the steps below to know how to reveal your skin in the Night Market:
First of all, make sure you check the dates above for the Night Market as they have a limited time.
Now, when Night Market is live, open Valorant. On the home screen, look for the card icon on the top right of your screen.
Once you click the icon, there will be six mystery cards on your screen.
The colors on the cards define the rarity of skins you will get. Click each card to reveal your Night Market skins.

Reveal the Skins
That’s how you can reveal the skin in Night Market. Now, choose the skin you want to buy for a special discount by clicking on the skin.
Can I Reroll Night Market Skins in Valorant?
No. Unfortunately, you must be fortunate to have good skins in the Night Market. Once you reveal these skins, you cannot reroll them in the current period of the Night Market in Valorant. There is also no refresh or reset for the market.
So, you will have to choose from these skins only if you want to purchase anything from the market. Well, you can also wait for two more months to see your next Night Market skins.
