Lewy Body Dementia is a brain disease that mainly targets people above 50. It’s an incurable disease that doesn’t allow the patient to lead an ordinary life; they won’t be able to do their everyday chores without external help.

In patients with Lewy Body Dementia, abnormal protein deposits accumulate in the brain, affecting it and reducing one’s ability to think and move. In the early stage of Lewy Body, one can still perform work with little assistance, but as time passes, the situation worsens, and the patient becomes entirely dependent on others until death .

Sometimes, the early symptoms of Lewy Body Dementia look like those associated with Alzheimer’s or other brain disorders. However, no specific reason for this disease has been discovered over the years. All we know currently is that the loss of the neurons that create the messengers that help the brain send signals to the other parts of the body causes the body to develop the symptoms of LBD.

The person suffering from LBD starts hallucinating things that aren’t real, but due to their detailed and realistic visions, one starts believing in them. The other symptom the patient mostly struggles with is concentration and awareness.

Sometimes, the disease is passed on to you by the predecessor who has suffered from it in your bloodline. However, there’s no evidence that it’s a hereditary disease.

The Penguin’s first season is over, and it was as beautiful as we expected. Seeing Oswald Cobblepot making out alive after messing with dangerous crime families was an experience like no other. Of course, we’ll see this character return in The Batman movies and, hopefully, a second season. However, it’s also true that we’ll have to wait for a long period to see the character back on the screen. But don’t fret: there are several other TV shows like The Penguin that you can binge-watch in the meantime. Yes, these shows are incredibly good and will make you appreciate the crime drama genre even more.

1. Peacemaker

Like The Penguin, Peacemaker doesn’t shy away from violence and its emotional value. Even though Peacemaker takes on a comedic approach, it will surely remind you of Penguin in each episode. The Penguin has you rooting for Oz, who isn’t a good guy. Well, Walter White isn’t a saint either. He claims countless innocent lives just so he can become the biggest Meth distributor in all of America.

Both characters aren’t physically strong, but they make big and become crime lords by taking advantage of their beautiful yet dangerous minds.
