It has been previously confirmed that Fantastic Four: First Steps will lead us right to Avengers: Doomsday, and if that was not enough, a new update has come our way telling us about the new leader of the Avengers, and if you are a fan of Marvel comics, you’d have an idea about who I’m talking about but if not, Matt Shakman has revealed that Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards will be the new leader of the Avengers. Now, some of you might not find that satisfactory, but hear me out. This might just best thing for the team, and let me tell you why.

Will Reed Richards Be the Leader of the Avengers?
In a recent interview with Variety , Matt Shakman revealed that casting Reed Richards was probably the toughest part of the job. Now finding a resemblance was not the difficult part, but getting an actor who could go from leading just a team, which is his family, to being the leader of the Avengers. Before Pedro’s debut in the upcoming movie, Shakman said-
“He goes from being the nerdy scientist who’s locked away in the lab, to the husband and the father who’d do anything to protect his family, to the guy who’s leading the Avengers, I realized that the version we were building had to have all of those elements.”
Now, if you are wondering whether this is a good choice or not, there have been multiple instances where Reed Richards has led the Avengers in Marvel comics. In the comic books, we see Sue Storm and Reed Richards retire from the Fantastic Four and join the Avengers full-time. And eventually, Reed even becomes the leader of the Avengers. Previously, the Avengers have been led by Iron Man and Captain America. ‘
While Tony Stark was the brains of the team, Captain America was the muscle, but now, in the absence of that, Reed Richards is the perfect person to lead the team simply because he is the perfect mixture of brains and muscle.
