The developers have stated that the game is still in early development, which likely means that the game will be released in 2027 or later. We have also had confirmation that the game is in development for PC and consoles.

Star Wars Fate of the Old Republic is being developed by Arcnaut Studios, in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. It is going to be a narrative-driven single-player action RPG, where players will step into the role of a Force user. Players will have to go on a journey through the galaxy on the ‘edge of rebirth.’
We have only seen the cinematic trailer of Star Wars Fate of the Old Republic, which is why we have literally no details about the gameplay. But expect a ton of light saber fights, force usage, and hopefully a bit of flying around. The teaser also shows a female character at the end, so we might get a female protagonist this time around.
Plus, with Casey Hudson, director of the infamous KOTOR games, back at the helm and spearheading this project with his new studio Arcnaut, expect the same level of epic action and lore about the Old Republic era as you did in earlier games.
