Based on the video game series, Sonic The Hedgehog 3 was released in the theatres in December 2024 and was highly praised by the fanatics who eagerly awaited the film. Fans found it even more compelling than the previous movies of the franchise. Be it the deeper character growth or the perfect balance of humor and other emotions, Sonic 3 has it all. Moreover, Jim Carrey’s portrayal of Ivo and Gerald Robotnik was the icing on the cake. However, not every fan has had the chance to watch it in theatres, so they might be curious to know about the movies’ arrival on digital platforms.
Reportedly, Sonic 3 will be released on Paramount Plus on January 21, 2025 , which is exactly a month later from its theatrical release. So, if you haven’t yet purchased the subscription for the streaming platform, it’s the right time.
However, there is no official confirmation from Paramount about the release date.
Sonic has been around since 1991, but the franchise grabbed the attention of new viewers after the first film’s release in 2020. After that, Sonic 2 arrived in 2022, and once again, the fanatics showered the sequel with the same amount of love. But after the arrival of the third film, fans didn’t shy away from calling it the best in the trilogy. Sonic 3 saw massive hype ahead of its release, but it surpassed the expectations of the massive fanfare with its big-screen debut.
The movies that fail to perform well on the box office usually arrive on the digital platforms after 125 days of their theatrical release. On the other hand, successful films get released digitally after approximately 212 days, so it’s surprising to learn that Sonic 3 will be made available to stream just a month after its theatrical release.
