However, if there are 100 ways to take out a soul, Sisu: Road to Revenge will make you add a couple more to the list. If you’re an adrenaline junkie who gets off on action movies, 2025 has been a good year for you, but as it turns out, the best was held off for the last, as this movie right here might just be the best action flick of 2025, not just because of non-stop action, but also because this movie perfectly concludes the tale of the protagonist, atleast for now. So, without further ado, let’s dive into this review for Sisu: Road to Revenge and discuss why it could just be the best 2025 has to offer.
The Plot Outline Is Something Everyone Can Relate to on Some Level

The plot of Sisu: Road to Revenge is rather straightforward, but at its core, it is deeply personal. The protagonist, Aatami Korpi ( Jorma Tommila ), travels to the Soviet Union-occupied Finland after World War 2 to take apart his house and build a new home in Finland using the same logs of wood his original home was made of. The movie basically revolves around him giving everything he has got and taking a lot of lives to transport him home to Finland.
However, there is an underlying layer that is something almost everyone can relate to. Aatami is looking for a place to belong; he has nowhere to go, no family, nothing. All he has are those logs of wood, which were his home. Of course, what Aatami does is beyond extreme, but in our lives, at some level, we all fight with all we have got to find a place to belong, and what we see on screen with Sisu: Road to Revenge is a picturisation of that very battle every person goes through with a massive involvement of blood, gore, and creative ways of turning Soviet soldiers into red mist.
Whoever Wrote the Action Sequences for Road to Revenge Deserves a Raise
Now we come to the best part of this movie, the action sequences. I kid you not, ladies and gentlemen, the way Atami takes out Soviet soldiers might make you flinch, but it will also have you utterly impressed with how creative those kills are. It’s almost as if, if we consider mass murder art, Aatami would be Picasso. In almost every action movie, the way bad guys die is almost predictable; you can somewhat predict how someone’s lights are going out.
However, with Road to Revenge, there is no way you can guess what Aatami is going to pull next. Is someone getting stabbed? Maybe someone is about to get decapitated? You’ll never know. I’m not going to spoil it for you, but if you think you have seen 100 ways the protagonist can take down a fighter aircraft, Sisu: Road to Revenge will make that list 101 ways long. Also, if you think you’ve explored every possible prospect in which a tank can be used, your horizons will be expanded once you’re through with this movie.
The Acting Had No Business Being This Perfect

Now, when I say this movie could just be the best action movie of 2025, it’s not just because of its impeccable action sequences, but also the way Jorma Tommila, without saying a word in the whole movie, says so much, and you just know what might be going on in his mind. Every flinch, every look, says more than what words can, and to get that through and make the audience connect to a character who does not speak is not an easy task to pull off.
Not just the protagonist, but the villain, Igor Draganov ( Stephen Lang), is effortlessly menacing. In the entire movie, he does not speak a lot, but when he does, it is eerily calm. He appears on screen as a character who is evil to the core, but extremely composed, and his unnatural calmness tends to make you feel uncomfortable through the screen. Talking about acting, the elements seen in the movie are creative as well.
When we look at the protagonist, he does not speak, and even though his expressions are enough to get through what he would have said, it could fall short in some instances, and to balance that out, his dog, Sulo, comes into the picture. In the moments where Atami falls short, Sulo’s reaction to the situation fills in the gap, which in itself is a brilliant idea whoever came up with it.
So, Is Sisu: Road To Revenge The Best Action Movie of 2025?
This might be subjective from person to person, but if you ask my opinion, yes, Sisu: Road to Revenge is the best Action movie of 2025. I say this not just because I personally loved the movie, but for the elements it offers and how they work out.
The emotional depth, the faint sense of understanding why he is doing what he is doing, the way you can relate to his core cause of going on a rampage to make it happen, everything fits just perfectly. Moreover, the action, the acting, and the creativity we get to see in the way these action sequences are written is something you don’t get to see every day. So, if you are skeptical about going to watch this movie, don’t be; grab your tickets and go for it without a second thought.

Universal Pictures and Vin Diesel have revealed that the final Fast and Furious movie will be titled “Fast Forever” and will be released on March 17, 2028. The star took to Instagram , where he posted the reveal along with a picture of him and Paul Walker from the first movie. In his post, Vin Diesel wrote-
No one said the road would be easy… but it’s ours. One that has defined us and become our legacy… And a legacy… lasts forever.
The Fast and the Furious franchise has given us some iconic movies. Earlier, the movies were highly awaited by fans. However, recent movies have not been as influential as the previous ones, but the finale of this long-running franchise has fans waiting for its release.
