The High Zaptitude event in Pokemon GO was released on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, and will be available for 5 days . We have listed the start and the end times below.
- Start Date and Time : Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 10 AM local time
- End Date and Time : Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 8 PM local time
Once the Pokemon GO event ends, you will no longer be able to take part and obtain the rewards.
Pokemon GO High Zaptitude Event Bonuses

The High Zaptitude event offers bonuses for hatching Pokemon from eggs and shiny rates. Here’s a list of them:
- During the event, there will be 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator
- There is an increased chance of hatching Shiny Tadbulb
- Event-themed new Field Research tasks
- Event-themed new Timed Research
- Ticket for Premium Timed Research

Global Challenge
You can take part with trainers around the world during the High Zaptitude event and complete tasks to complete the Global Challenge and unlock certain level-based rewards.

Wattrel and its evolution, Kilowattrel , are the two Pokemon debuting in the Pokemon GO High Zaptitude event. Wattrel is an Electric and Flying-type Pokemon , that evolves into Kilowattrel using 50 Wattrel candies. As a new Pokemon debuts, you can catch it to fill your Pokedex. However, the stats aren’t great, making it a poor choice for raids and PvE. Additionally, the shiny variant is unavailable in the game right now.
