Peaky Blinders was not just a show but an epic that will go down in the history of cinema as one of the greatest shows ever made. Now, as the famous saying goes, history has a habit of repeating itself, and such is the case for Peaky Blinders. The reveal of this sequel came to us via a report from The Hollywood Reporter . According to their report, Netflix and BBC have given an order for two seasons of this Peaky Blinders sequel under the direction of Steven Knight. According to Knight, the sequel will take us back to Birmingham, but the story will grow its roots in the aftermath of the Birmingham blitz. In a statement, Steven said-
“I’m thrilled to be announcing this new chapter in the Peaky Blinders story. Once again it will be rooted in Birmingham and will tell the story of a city rising from the ashes of the Birmingham blitz. The new generation of Shelbys have taken the wheel and it will be a hell of a ride,”
Along with the details shared by Knight, we also have a confirmed synopsis of the Peaky Blinders TV show by Netflix that reads-
“Britain, 1953. After being heavily bombed in World War II, Birmingham is building a better future out of concrete and steel. In a new era of Steven Knight’s Peaky Blinders , the race to own Birmingham’s massive reconstruction project becomes a brutal contest of mythical dimensions. This is a city of unprecedented opportunity and danger, with the Shelby family right at its blood-soaked heart.”
So, with all of these reveals at hand, it looks like we are in for a pretty interesting ride. However, what’s left to see is how the audience reacts to a new generation of Shelbys taking the lead this time around, but as far as I think, fans would love to see a brand new pair of dusty black coats and red right hands on the streets of Birmingham.

The Penguin’s first season is over, and it was as beautiful as we expected. Seeing Oswald Cobblepot making out alive after messing with dangerous crime families was an experience like no other. Of course, we’ll see this character return in The Batman movies and, hopefully, a second season. However, it’s also true that we’ll have to wait for a long period to see the character back on the screen. But don’t fret: there are several other TV shows like The Penguin that you can binge-watch in the meantime. Yes, these shows are incredibly good and will make you appreciate the crime drama genre even more.
1. Peacemaker

Of course, you might think we are suggesting Peacemaker because, like Penguin, it also comes from the DC Comics. However, that’s not the only similarity between these two shows. Like The Penguin, Peacemaker doesn’t shy away from violence and its emotional value. Even though Peacemaker takes on a comedic approach, it will surely remind you of Penguin in each episode. It will also make you wonder or wish for a scenario where Oz would have walked on Peacemaker’s path and become an anti-hero instead of an antagonist.

Finn Wallace, the most influential crime boss of London, is killed. Following the unfortunate incident, his son Sean Wallace has to take his place in the family and in the organization. However, as a newcomer, he faces several challenges in achieving what he desires.

Both TV shows are about underdogs making a big name for themselves by playing mind games and bringing down some of the most dangerous drug lords. The Penguin has you rooting for Oz, who isn’t a good guy. Well, Walter White isn’t a saint either. He claims countless innocent lives just so he can become the biggest Meth distributor in all of America.

Peaky Blinders is surely one of the best crime drama series of all time. The series got several awards because of its unique story and unforgettable characters, especially Tommy Shelby. Of course, it’s a pipe dream, but if it does come to reality, we would love to see it being a part of the DC Comics. Why? Well, because it would be incredibly thrilling seeing Thomas Shelby and Penguin playing mind games with each other. Both characters aren’t physically strong, but they make big and become crime lords by taking advantage of their beautiful yet dangerous minds.
9. Boardwalk Empire

What Do We Know About the Upcoming Gundam Movie?

This new live-action adaptation of Gundam was announced all the way back in 2018, and Legendary Pictures was brought in as a co-producer. However, back then, details about the project were quite limited. Following this reveal, in 2021, Netflix confirmed that Jordan Vogt-Roberts will direct the movie. The filming was set to begin in 2023, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it never began, and later, we heard that the movie will not be made forward.
However, in 2025, it came to light that Sydney Sweeney and Noah Centineo were in talks with Legendary to star in the movie. Now, in 2026, a report by Deadline confirms that Sydney Sweeney and Noah Centineo will be starring in the live-action Gundam movie , and Netflix is on board to be the main distributor.
The filming of this project will begin in March 2026 and will be shot in multiple locations across Australia and the United Kingdom. So, let’s wait and see what Netflix and Legendary bring us with this live-action adaptation.
