What Is It: Welcome to Derry About?
It serves as the prequel to the 2017 and 2019 films that made us believe why most kids are afraid of clowns. They introduced us to Pennywise the Dancing Clown, who feeds on the fear of the civilians of Derry. However, we never get to see how Derry became the breeding place for the evil, from where it all started, or why the clown chose Derry. So, Welcome to Derry will finally deliver all the answers the fans deserve to know.
The HBO series takes place several decades ago, when the Losers Club first encountered Pennywise. The creators have hinted that the series will run for three seasons, each navigating a different era of Pennywise’s terror.
