Huawei Watch GT 2 - 1

Alongside the launch of its next flagship smartphone – Mate 30 Pro , the Chinese giant has today revealed that it will also unveil the Huawei Watch GT 2 in Munich on September 19. This will be a successor to the original Watch GT, which debuted beside the previous Mate flagship back in October last year.

Huawei confirmed the launch of the Watch GT 2 via an official Weibo post , which you can find attached below. It carries a teaser video which confirms that the smartwatch will be powered by Huawei’s newly announced Kirin A1 chip for wearables . It shows that the design will be pretty similar to the first-gen Watch GT, but leaks suggest that we can expect a slimmer body a larger display onboard.

Further, the Huawei Watch GT touted an impressive battery life of up to 30 days on a single charge on standby. Its successor will build on this legacy and is expected to sport slightly larger 445mAh battery as compared to the 420mAh battery inside the Watch GT.

The watch will most likely continue to use stainless steel, ceramic bezels, and the dual-crown design for interactions. It will again have onboard GPS for fitness tracking on the move without a smartphone. New additions in the mix will be a speaker and microphone, which will allow you to make calls but it would require LTE support and that hasn’t been confirmed as of now.

The leaks also suggest that Huawei Watch GT 2 will be launched in 2 variants, i.e Classic and Sport. We will have to wait until next week for official details, along with the pricing and availability details.

Huawei Confirms to Launch the Mate X2 on February 22 - 4

With major companies like Samsung and Xiaomi looking to launch multiple foldable devices this year, it seems like Huawei is preparing to launch its foldable in the market sooner. According to a recent teaser, we have confirmation that the Chinese smartphone manufacturers are launching their next foldable, the Huawei Mate X2 on February 22.

Huawei, on its official Weibo handle , recently shared a teaser-image with the name of the foldable device and its launch date on it. So, as per this image, the Shenzhen-based giant will be launching its next-gen foldable device, the Huawei Mate X2 on 22nd February 2021, although previous reports claimed that the company will launch the device earlier. However, Huawei, probably due to the political issues with the US , delayed the launch of its foldable device.

Moreover, as per the teaser, the upcoming Huawei Mate X2 will be a bit different than its predecessors in terms of design. For starters, the image suggests that the Mate X2 will fold inward this time, unlike the company’s previous foldable devices such as the Mate X and the Mate Xs that fold outwards.

Now, apart from the name of the device and the date of launch, there are not many details provided by the company. So, as you can imagine, we do not know anything about the price and the specifications of the device.

However, as per the views shared by Huawei’s Business Group CEO Richard Yu, the Mate X2 is “full of surprises” . He added the statement on his official Weibo account by saying that he has been using the upcoming Huawei Mate X2 “for some time”.
