This is fine, mostly, but sometimes, if you try finding an app you’ve installed a while ago, you might notice that it has disappeared from your iPhone automatically. So, if you’re wondering why your iPhone apps keep uninstalling on their own, here’s how you can fix it.
Disable Offload Unused Apps to Stop iPhone Apps from Uninstalling Automatically
The reason your iPhone apps are disappearing on their own is a setting that Apple first introduced back with iOS 11 — “Offload Unused Apps”. So all you need to do is follow the steps below to disable offload unused apps and stop your iPhone from uninstalling apps on its own.
Note: These steps are for iOS 18. If you’re using an older version of iOS, you can directly go to Settings -> App Store
- Open Settings and tap on “Apps” . Here, tap on “App Store”
- Scroll down and disable the toggle for “Offload Unused Apps”
That’s it. Your iPhone should no longer automatically remove apps regardless of whether you use them regularly or leave them unused for months. If your iPhone is still uninstalling apps automatically, it might be a glitch . To attempt to fix that, you can try to reset your iPhone . However, make sure you take a backup of all your data, because a reset will erase everything on your phone.
