How to Schedule Messages on Instagram

The schedule messages feature is currently available on both Android and iPhone versions of the Instagram app. It is pretty easy to use, but here’s a guide to give you a helping hand.

  1. Open the Instagram DM where you want to schedule the message.
  2. Now type the message in the text box, and long press the Send button .
  3. This will bring up the Schedule message panel. Here, set the date and the time when you want the message to be sent.
  4. Once you’re set, tap on the Send button below.

Now your message will be scheduled to set on your preset date and time.

How to Manage Scheduled Instagram Messages

If you entered the wrong date, or wish to make any changes to the text, you can do so before it gets sent. Here is how to do it:

  1. Go to the Instagram DM where you scheduled your message.
  2. Here, tap on the Scheduled message banner right above the text box.
  3. This will show the message you have scheduled. Long-press on this message to get additional options.
  4. From the pop-up menu that opens, choose a preferred option – Send now , Copy , and Delete .

If you want to edit the message, you can delete the current one and schedule another one. You’ll have to do the same if you want to change the timer.
