Dune Awakening, like any MMORPG worth its salt, features a fleshed-out class system paired with a branching skill tree and a diverse range of abilities. The game leverages its source material to the fullest, and lets you mind control like the Bene Gesserit or scale cliffs in seconds as a Trooper. You can unlock new abilities by discovering class Trainers and spending skill points. However, you’ll always run the risk of spending a precious point on a skill that seemed incredible in description but ends up being toothless in practice. To save you from that nagging feeling of buyer’s remorse, we’ve put together a guide on how you can respec skills in Dune Awakening.
How to Respec in Dune Awakening
To respec in Dune Awakening, all you need to do is open up the Skills menu and select the ‘Respec Skill Tree’ option in the bottom right corner. By default, the key bind of this option is the ‘R’ key on a keyboard and the down d-pad button on a controller .
That’s the long and short of it, as you don’t need to complete any quests or gather any items to respec skills. The respec option is entirely free in Dune Awakening , making it one of the most forgiving methods we’ve seen in the genre.

With that being said, there are a few essential things to keep in mind. For starters, the respec option will not allow you to change your starting class . This means that if you started out as a Swordmaster, you’ll remain a Swordmaster after reassigning your skill points. Furthermore, you can only respec once every 48 hours , meaning you’ll need to wait two whole days before you’re allowed to reassign your skills again.
