Arrakis in Dune Awakening might be an unruly, Sandworm-infested desert with blood-thirsty scavengers skulking across every grain of sand (that includes you as well). But that doesn’t mean you’re exempt from paying taxes. The Emperor has the planet in his clutches, and if you don’t cough up your fief, you can look forward to a visit from the merciless Sardaukar. The game does a sub-par job of explaining this mechanic, leaving some players entirely unaware of its existence. With this in mind, we’ve put together a guide on how to pay your taxes in Dune Awakening.
How to Pay Your Taxes in Dune Awakening

On Arrakeen , the tax collector can be found on the ground floor in the northwestern part of the are a. His Harko Village counterpart also sits on the ground floor, except he’s in a room in the southeastern corner instead. To find their locations, bring up the map and you’ll be able to spot their pre-marked icons.
Lastly, you can check the amount of tax you owe by interacting with your sub-fief console. We recommend doing this before making the trip. Otherwise, your expedition to the social hubs will be a waste.
