- Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 has introduced new vaults that can be opened by vault-opening weapons.
- To open a vault in the Fortnite Lawless update, you need to use a Thermite on the vault and hit the weak spots when they appear.
- While the vault opens, you must fight off NPC enemies.
Vaults are not a new term in the world of Fortnite. However, every time you find a new vault, there is a different way to open it. As we expected, the crime-infused Fortnite Lawless update, opening the vault, requires some dirty tricks. Have you run into a vault but don’t know how to open it? Keep reading as we show you how to open vaults in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2.
These new vaults in the Fortnite Lawless update are stacked with loot. If you have spotted the vault locations in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2, you will know how heavily crowded they are. So, I suggest you have enough new Fortnite weapons to tackle the enemies around.
How to Open a Vault in the Fortnite Lawless Update
To open a new vault, you must gather the Thermite from a chest or as a ground loot. After you grab one, equip it in your hand just like another weapon. Now, look at the blue indicator on the vault and throw the Thermite on it.
After a certain delay, it will start cracking the vault open. To fast forward this process, you must hit the weak spots when it is visible . While you can do it with any of your current guns, it will be better with Plasma Burst Laser and Rocket Drill . Unfortunately, these two weapons will only be available after the v34.10 update.

Remember that once you attach the Thermite, many NPCs will start storming in to gun you down. So, you have to stay cautious of both PVP and PVE enemies . Once you unlock the vault, you will find rare chests and some Dill Bits in Fortnite.
