How to Get Spotify Premium

  1. Go to Spotify.com/premium .
  2. Select a plan you want. In this instance, we will go with the Individual plan. If you’re subscribing to a select Premium plan (like Individual or Student) for the first time, click on Try free for 1 month under any of the preferred plans. Otherwise, click on Get Premium to proceed.

  1. On the next page, log in to your existing account or create a new Spotify account.

  1. Enter your Street, City, State, and ZIP code to proceed.

  1. Select a payment method and enter your card details. You can also pay via PayPal. Click Buy now after entering your payment details.

  1. If the transaction successfully goes through, you should be subscribed to Spotify Premium instantly. You can now start using Spotify

The first month should be free if you’re subscribing to a Premium plan for the first time. Spotify will remind you 7 days before your plan ends, giving you ample time to cancel it if you don’t like it.

All Spotify Premium Plans

Spotify currently has four plans to offer — Individual, Student, Duo, and Family. We’ve explained the pricing of all plans in our dedicated Spotify Premium Plans, Pricing, and Deals article, but here’s a quick rundown on them:

  • Individual: $11.99 / month
  • Student: $5.99 / month
  • Duo: $16.99 / month
  • Family: $19.99 / month
  • Audiobook only : $9.99 / month

The prices listed above have been revised since Spotify declared a price hike in June 2024. The individual and student plans are free for the first month if you haven’t tried the Premium features before. Spotify’s Premium Student Plan offers additional access to Hulu.

Duo gets Spotify Premium on two accounts, whereas Family gets up to 6 premium or kids accounts. The process of subscribing to all plans should be the same, but if you’re a student, you’d need to upload your student ID card as proof to get the subscription.
