Mossjaw Location in Fisch
The Mossjaw reptile can be caught inside the pool of the Mossjaw Rest area. However, to access the Mossjaw rest, you must first reach the Lost Jungle island and make your way to the Forgotten Temple underneath.

The Forgotten Temple is a maze consisting of five rooms, and of course, the locked Mossjaw Rest area. You must first head to each room in order, solve the puzzles inside, and collect the respective Runes. Once you have all five of them, go to the Temple Gates checkpoint and place all the Runes in their respective pedestals. Having opened the gates, head inside to find the massive pool, where the Mossjaw spawns only when the Lost Jungle — Elder Mossjaw Hunt server event is taking place. This is similar to any other Exotic fish, like the Megalodon or the Kraken . Once the hunt starts, a notification will appear on top of the screen, stating a Mossjaw has been spotted in the area . When you receive the text, use the Temple Eye to teleport straight to the Gates area and start fishing near the pool.
Tips and Tricks to Get the Mossjaw in Fisch
Now that you have all the information on where to find this beast, it’s time to tell you some tricks to catch it easily. Firstly, you should focus on getting one of the best fishing rods in the game (see our Fisch rods tier list to choose the best among them). Consider going with the brand-new Sanguine Spire Rod , the Luminescent Oath Rod , or simply the Seraphic Rod .
Once you have a decent rod, you can focus on maintaining proper conditions to catch this creature. The Mossjaw in Fisch has the following preferences, and with these, you’ll have the best chances of catching it:

As you can see, there are two variations of the creature: the usual one of Exotic rarity, and the Elder Mossjaw, which is of the Secret rarity. Naturally, while the Mossjaw hunt event is active, you will have far fewer chances of getting the Elder Mossjaw, but the moment the Black colored exclamation mark appears while fishing in this pool, you’ll know this is the one.
While catching the Exotic Mossjaw, you will notice that it puts a -95% progress speed effect on your rod. This effect will be stronger while catching the Secret one (-97%), hence I would highly recommend you to enchant your rod with something that helps in boosting the progress speed, like Steady Immortal, or Mystical, and pair it with Overclocked to gain an additional bonus again.
Moreover, the Mossjaws have different resilience. The exotic one comes with -30 resilience, which is considered extreme. And if you think that is hard, you will have a harder time catching the secret one. The Elder Mossjaw comes with -200 resilience. If you still want to catch the rare one, try popping up some Aurora totems for an increased luck. Or simply pay the Merlin NPC to get some more luck, too.
