HSR Free 5-star Character of Your Choice

Honkai Star Rail 4.0 will give away one free 5-star limited character, letting players choose from seven extremely good options. Players can choose from the following character pool: Jing Yuan, Kafka, Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae, Jingliu, Sparkle, Acheron, and Aventurine. All of these characters rank very high in the HSR tier list , with Aventurine, Acheron, and Sparkle being the likely choice for most players.
Also, Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae might be a great option with the new Elation path mechanics being introduced, and Kafka’s recent buffs have also made her quite formidable. I would personally recommend picking Sparkle, as she will also get new buffs in HSR 4.0 and will be a staple Elation support in the future.
To obtain this reward, all you have to do is log in to the game during the event and claim one of the characters mentioned above. The best part is that you will also get materials for the character to ascend them to level 60 from the get-go.
Free Ruan Mei Skin – Plumblossom Letter

The next Honkai Star Rail 4.0 reward is the new skin for Ruan Mei. This skin will be free for a limited time. Players have to simply log in during version 4.0 to obtain this Honkai Star Rail 4.0 reward. Once the event ends, Ruan Mei’s new outfit will be made available in the Outfit Shop Window for 1600 Oneiric Shards. So, make sure to grab the outfit even if you don’t plan on playing the version 4.0 update anytime soon.
More HSR Login Rewards: Gift of Arcadia, A Flip of Fortune, and Gift of Odyssey

Other than the free 5-star character and Ruan Mei’s skin, Honkai Star Rail 4.0 also includes more login rewards. The Gift of Arcadia will give away 10 Star Rail Premium Passes, 3 Self-Modeling Resin, and 600 Lone Stardust for simply logging into the game during the update. Players will also get 1600 Stellar Jades from the ‘A Flip of Fortune’ event by revealing a fortune slip every day for 5 days total. This event will also have a chance to reward a few lucky players with 100 Star Rail Premium Passes.
Other than that, the recurring Gift of Odyssey event returns once again. HSR players will be able to obtain 10 Star Rail Premium Passes by logging in for 7 days during version 4.0.
Honkai Star Rail 4.0 Pre-Register Rewards
The Planarcadia Ultimate Elation League web event has started, which allows players to pre-register for Honkai Star Rail 4.0. Pre-register by going to the webevent website, and you are guaranteed to win 120 Stellar Jades. Alongside that, there is also a little possibility of winning a PlayStation 5 and a Nintendo Switch 2. Make sure to log in with your correct Hoyoverse account to get the reward.

Honkai Star Rail 4.0 Drip Marketing Date Leaked
A new leak from Homdgcat posted on Reddit reveals that the notice for 4.0 test servers has been issued for December 30, 2025. As drip marketing is generally revealed a week before the test servers, the general assumption currently is that Honkai Star Rail 4.0 drip marketing will be revealed from next Tuesday, or December 23, 2025 .
This also fits with the two-week delay notice from Honkai Star Rail, allowing them to reveal the drip marketing 42 days before the version release. The Honkai Star Rail 4.0 drip marketing is expected to feature two new 5-star characters. From previous rumors, we can expect Sparkle’s new form and Yaoguang to be HSR 4.0 characters .

Sparkle can be almost confirmed, but with recent changes made to the 4.0 destination, Yaoguang’s name has not appeared again in leaks. The Honkai Star Rail 4.0 drip marketing tease also had a character outline that completely resembled Sparkle’s design. With Planarcadia being the territory of Elation, Sparkle can be the entryway to the chaos and madness, also becoming the first playable character from the Elation path.
