Hollow Knight Silksong DLC Sea of Sorrow Teased
Hollow Knight Silksong DLC Sea of Sorrow will be released in 2026, and it will be a completely free update. Like the recent Clair Obscur Expedition 33 free expansion , the Silksong expansion will also have new areas, bosses, tools, and much more. The Sea of Sorrow DLC will be a nautically themed expansion, so we might see a lot more sea creatures as bosses in this update. Alongside the announcement of Hollow Knight Silksong DLC Sea of Sorrow, Team Cherry also revealed their plans to bring Hollow Knight to Nintendo Switch 2. What’s amazing is that Nintendo players who already own Hollow Knight on their Nintendo Switch would be able to download the game for free on Switch 2 when it releases.
The Switch 2 version of Hollow Knight will also come with all the QoL updates from Silksong. Hollow Knight Switch 2 will also launch in 2026, likely around the same time as the Sea of Sorrow DLC is revealed.
