Frankenstein 2025 is here, and it introduced us to Oscar Isaac’s Victor Frankenstein. The genius scientist had the capability to conquer the world with his knowledge. However, his pride made him do all the wrong things. He created a life, then, after realizing the creature lacks intelligence, decides to kill it. Fortunately, the creature survived and, after wandering alone for months and then years, it set out to find its creator. The monster indeed reached where he wanted to and allowed us to witness the rage he had been carrying in his heart for Victor. So, it’s evident fans would want to know if Victor dies or survives at the end of Frankenstein 2025 .

Yes, Victor Frankenstein dies in the 2025 adaptation of the horror classic . He doesn’t die at the hands of the monster, though. Well, the way the creature followed his master and caused destruction led us to believe he would be the one to kill Victor. However, the film took a different route and left us all in tears.
The film begins with the Captain of a Danish naval fleet and his crew, who save Victor after seeing him lying injured on the ground. They take him inside and keep him in the Attic of the ship. The Captain also instructs his crew to keep an eye on the monster and prevent him from getting on the ship.
As the movie progresses and Victor is done telling his story to the one who saved him, the monster arrives. But he never intended to kill his creator; he just wanted to confront him, so he revealed his part of the story in front of Victor and the Captain. Victor apologizes to him for being inhumane. He also calls the monster ‘son.’ After the creature forgives him, Victor dies, having finally found the peace he had always sought.
What Happens to the Monster in Frankenstein 2025?
The Monster always sought acceptance, but no one except Elizabeth showed him affection. So, after the woman’s passing, he wanted nothing but to die. He told Victor that he would give him numerous chances to kill what he had created, but if he failed, the creature would come back for him. However, in the final moments of Victor, the scientist showed the creature the love he had always craved. As said by the old man, who blessed him with wisdom, the creature forgives Victor and lets him rest in peace.
After his creator’s death, he goes outside, removes the hood, and stands facing the sun. Well, it means that he finally stops seeking death and accepts the life that he must explore till eternity.

What Do We Know About the Upcoming Gundam Movie?

This new live-action adaptation of Gundam was announced all the way back in 2018, and Legendary Pictures was brought in as a co-producer. However, back then, details about the project were quite limited. Following this reveal, in 2021, Netflix confirmed that Jordan Vogt-Roberts will direct the movie. The filming was set to begin in 2023, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it never began, and later, we heard that the movie will not be made forward.
However, in 2025, it came to light that Sydney Sweeney and Noah Centineo were in talks with Legendary to star in the movie. Now, in 2026, a report by Deadline confirms that Sydney Sweeney and Noah Centineo will be starring in the live-action Gundam movie , and Netflix is on board to be the main distributor.
The filming of this project will begin in March 2026 and will be shot in multiple locations across Australia and the United Kingdom. So, let’s wait and see what Netflix and Legendary bring us with this live-action adaptation.
