With Chapter 7 Season 1 passing its halfway point, Epic Games has released the 39.30 update, bringing a whole new LTM to Fortnite. This new update is smaller in scale than the previous 39.20 patch , but it still has a significant amount of content packed into it. However, it does not feature any significant gameplay changes.

If you are curious about everything new coming in the Fortnite 39.30 update, here’s a detailed guide on all of the possible content in this patch.

Fortnite Update 39.30 Downtime Details

The 39.30 update in Fortnite is now live after a scheduled downtime of 1-2 hours on January 22, 2026 , at 4 AM ET . The Fortnite servers were taken down for maintenance, with matchmaking services and all playlists being disabled during downtime. However, the servers are now back up, allowing players to load into matches.

The main event of the 39.30 update is the new Crown Jam mode . The mode features players as Fall Guys beans participating in a 3v3 match of a sport that merges elements of football, basketball, and obstacle courses. Epic Games had adjusted the Fall Guys physics for this new mode while bringing in new tackle mechanics and special abilities that players can use by building up Hype points during matches.

The game mode also includes six different Crown Jam factions that players will be randomly assigned to. The Crown Jam mode will release on January 23, 2026 , and will only be available to play until February 9, 2026 .

Regular Show Collab

The release of the 39.30 update also brings in confirmation for the leaked Regular Show collab. A text string titled “Trucker Hat (Eggscellent)” was updated with the new patch. For those who don’t know, Rigby wears a trucker hat that says “I’m Eggscelent” in an episode of Regular Show, confirming that the long-awaited collab will finally be coming to the Fortnite island soon.

The Office Collab

In an unexpected move, Epic Games recently confirmed a crossover with the beloved sitcom The Office. The collaboration was confirmed through a teaser about beets, a reference to Dwight Schrute’s farm in The Office. HYPEX revealed that files added with the 39.30 update refer to an edit style for Dwight Schrute based on his “CPR Dummy” look, confirming the collab coming to the game soon. Michael Scott, the iconic Dunder Mifflin boss, is also expected to join Dwight Schrute in the Fortnite Item Shop soon.

Ed, Edd, and Eddy Collab

Animated TV show crossovers seem like the new big thing in Fortnite. If the already ongoing South Park collaboration wasn’t enough, Epic Games is also bringing Ed, Edd, and Eddy from the beloved Cartoon Network show to Fortnite with the 39.30 update. Leaks have suggested that both Ed and Edd will be getting skins in the game, with Eddy’s skin still uncertain. The 39.30 update added a new encrypted Sidekick to the game, speculated to be Eddy due to his small size compared to the other two.

It will come as a relief to players that the skins, unlike the South Park skins, will not feature mech suits. The outfits are said to be faithful to their original designs from the show, and it will be interesting to see how they fit into Fortnite’s world and aesthetic. However, the exact release date of these skins is still unknown.

K-Pop Demon Hunters Mythics Return

With the release of the 39.30 update, Epic Games is apparently preparing for the K-Pop Demon Hunters Mythics to return to Fortnite. According to a leak by HYPEX, Epic Games has made a change to the game files, listing the Mythics as “Ch7S1 Unvaults”. However, it is unclear whether this means they’ll return to Battle Royale or a secondary game mode like Blitz Royale.

New Mini Event: Dark Voyager Returns

It looks like Fortnite is still developing the Chapter 7 storyline in the midst of the collab frenzy. After rifting his Cube Cradle to another reality, the Dark Voyager and his Cube Cradle are back on the map, and he has brought another shard of the Zero Point with him. This seemingly confirms the theory that the Dark Voyager is reassembling the Zero Point with all of its shards.

The Cube Cradle’s return will be a part of a mini live event , which means players will be able to see it happen in-game. This mini-event will take place every time the Dark Voyager’s ship returns after collecting a Zero Point shard. The Dark Voyager will appear on the map, floating with the Zero Point shards, soon. This could possibly be building to a bigger live event for the end of Chapter 7 Season 1.

Fortnite Festival Season 13: Chappell Roan

The files added with the 39.30 update also reveal details about the next season of the Fortnite Festival mode, with Chappell Roan being slated as the next artist to take the stage. This was pointed out by leaker Leaky , revealing a Llama and instruments in the in-game files that resemble stage props used by Chappell Roan during her performances.

Leaked Skins and Sidekick

Epic Games has not left original skins behind with the 39.30 update, as the patch has added 6 new skins and a new Sidekick. Three of these new skins are part of a set called “Eternal Arcana,” and sport stylized arcane designs and also a comic book-style variant. The update also added a duo of skins called Psyonic Ink, alongside the Fortnite Crew skin for February 2026. The new Crew Pack skin features a design inspired by sunflowers and an edit style to go along with it.

Apart from the skins, Epic Games has also added a new Remus Sidekick with the new update. The sidekick is inspired by the back bling of the same name from the Chapter 1 Season 7 Battle Pass. Players who already own the C1S7 variant of Remus will receive the new Sidekick for free.

Blitz Royale Changes

The Blitz Royale mode has also undergone changes with the 39.30 update. Epic Games has vaulted and unvaulted weapons from the Blitz loot pool to keep the game mode fresh. Here are all of the items vaulted and unvaulted in Blitz Royale with the 39.30 patch:

Vaulted

  • Ex-Calibur Rifle
  • Shockwave Hammers
  • Hopper Fish

Unvaulted

  • Twin-Hammer Shotguns
  • Thermal Fish
  • Stealth Splash

Jam Tracks in Battle Royale

In a smaller part of the 39.30 update, Epic Games has added the ability to listen to Jam Tracks during Battle Royale matches. Players can head into their emote wheel and select the Jam Track they want to listen to during a match, allowing them to jam to their favourite tunes while securing the Victory Royale.

New Weekly Quests

The release of the 39.30 update also unlocked a set of new weekly quests in Chapter 7 Season 1. You can complete these quests to progress through the Battle Pass more quickly. The quests are expected to be tied to one of the many stars in the Battle Pass, continuing the Hollywood theme of the season. The quests include damaging opponents while being airborne and eliminating a Henchman.

That’s everything we know about the 39.30 update. While there were no significant gameplay changes with this patch, Epic Games is likely to switch things up with the next Fortnite update when the South Park collab comes to an end.
