The Eighth Trial of Aql in Dune Awakening is unlike the others in some interesting ways. For starters, the final Fremen trial has an even tighter focus on the universe’s lore, coupled with a more traditional, quest-like structure. On top of this, the mission also features some puzzle-solving, which can leave players scratching their heads. Completing this quest unlocks a crucial piece of equipment that can take your base’s water production to the next level. So, if you’re keen on running through it, here are the puzzle solutions of the eighth trial in Dune Awakening to make things easier.
Dune Awakening Eighth Trial of Aql Location
The eighth trial in Dune Awakening sits at an intersection point between the Eastern Shield Wall, Mysa Tarill, and Jabal Eifrit Al-Gharab regions. To find it, head to the base of the shield wall as seen in the map image above.
At the ground level, you’ll be able to spot a fissure in the rocks. Use the opening to get inside the Sietch Ta’lab . You’ll find a couple of enemies near its entrance but they can be dealt with quite easily.
Dune Awakening Eighth Trial of Aql Puzzle Solutions
You’ll find three different puzzles within the Sietch Ta’lab , ranging from a bit of trivia to a brainteaser. Their solutions have been laid out below:
First Puzzle Solution
The first puzzle can be found near the entrance, and it quizzes you with six multiple-choice questions. These questions are based on your learnings from other trials and some key NPC interactions. The game is essentially checking if you’ve been paying attention, and if you haven’t, here are all the answers in the correct sequence:

- Bela Tegeuse

Second Puzzle Solution

The second puzzle requires some symbol-matching, so you’ll need to pick between Fremen glyphs based on the directions given by the hologram of a lecturer. To save you the trouble of listening to it, here are the answers for all three sections of this puzzle:
- Bind – Dune – Grass
- Planting – Shelter – Downwind
- Animal – Aerate – Soil
Third Puzzle Solution
The third and final puzzle has you rotating rings to find their correct position and unlock a door. It’s a straightforward puzzle that you’ll likely have seen across many other games before. The correct ring positions can be seen in the image below.

With all three puzzles wrapped up, you’ll be able to progress into the Sietch Ta’lab’s main chamber. Once inside, you’ll be ambushed by a group of Mass Kherat cultists. Defeat them and escape the cave to complete the trial, and you’ll earn the Fremen Deathstill schematic as a reward.
