Now, after the crushing success of the first season, Daredevil is all set to return to our screens in 2026 with Daredevil Born Again Season 2, and if you want to know all you can about its release date, cast, plot, and more, this right here is your one-stop destination.

What Is the Release Date of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2?

Daredevil Born Again Season 2 will be released on March 24, 2026, on Disney+, almost exactly a year after season 1’s release. However, even though we have a general idea of where the series is headed this time around, we are still walking in blind, considering the tight wraps that have been kept around Born Again Season 2.

Is There a Trailer for Daredevil Born Again Season 2?

The first trailer of Daredevil Born Again Season 2 has just been released, and while the clip in itself does not reveal a lot about the plot, we do get our first official look at Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones. Other than that, we get a few clips where we get to see Wilson Bethel as Bullseye, confirming that when Daredevil threw him off the roof, he did not die.

Looking at the trailer, it also appears that the Anti-Vigilante Task Force is growing on people, and Wilson Fisk has succeeded in his mission of taking over the city completely. Now, all that’s left for us to see is what Daredevil is going to do about it. The clip also promises some intense action, so that’s something I’m eagerly looking forward to.

What Could Be the Plot of Daredevil Born Again Season 2?

Season 2 has a pretty self-explanatory plot if you think about it. In Season 1, we saw that Kingpin successfully established a sort of dictatorship in New York City. Daredevil is defeated, Frank is captured, and in the final moments of the season, we see Matt get back up and realize that to give New York its freedom back, he is going to need an army, and as far as speculation goes, this army could be The Hand or the Defenders, but we can’t say anything with absolute certainty.

However, the upcoming season will most certainly revolve around Daredevil and his allies taking back New York City, but there could also be some implications that may lead to the events of The Punisher Special Presentation, so let’s wait and see what Marvel has in store for us.

  • Daredevil Born Again shows us that Kingpin has organised a charity ball to raise funds for the reconstruction of Red Hook.
  • At the ball, he calls Jack Duquesne in his office and threatens him with arrest for being the Swordsman if Jack does not donate to the cause.
  • Now that the Swordsman is on Fisk’s radar, there is a chance that we will see a confrontation between Jack and Fisk’s Task Force in the future.

Daredevil is one of those shows that gives Marvel an open hand with character introductions. Since The Man Without Fear, or Daredevil, himself is a street-level hero, we get to see several other ones, like we have seen Punisher and Elektra previously, and The White Tiger recently. Now, we all know that in Daredevil: Born Again, Wilson Fisk has created a Task Force whose sole job is to hunt down vigilantes, and based on what we saw in episode 8, another vigilante is on Fisk AKA Kingpin’s radar. It’s none other than Swordsman. Is Swordsman or Jack Duquesne going to die at the hands of Wilson Fisk?

Why Is Fisk Threatening Swordsman in Daredevil: Born Again?

Jack Duquesne appeared for the first time in Hawkeye and displayed his incomparable swordfighting skills. Since then, he has been off the screen with no reasoning whatsoever from Marvel. Now he has resurfaced in Daredevil: Born Again. We already know that Jack is one of the wealthiest people in New York City, so he keeps getting invited to fundraiser balls organised by the Mayor’s Office.

He has appeared once before, and now, he has once again appeared in Daredevil: Born Again Episode 8. In the said episode. Fisk takes Jack to his office and asks him to donate money to his fund to rebuild the Red Hook port. When Jack declines to do so, Fisk threatens him by saying that he knows that Jack has been Swordsman , the vigilante, and even though it was a one-time affair, that would be enough for his task force to bring Jack in.

What Happened to Swordsman in Marvel Comics?

As interesting and frightening as the interaction between Swordsman and Kingpin is in Daredevil Born Again, in Marvel Comics, this arc was never really seen. Originally, Swordsman was considered a threat by the Avengers due to a misunderstanding, but later on, he became an agent against Mandarin for the superhero team and even earned himself a spot as an Avenger. However, he was killed at the hands of Kang in GIANT-SIZE AVENGERS #2, released in 1974.

In Daredevil Born Again, with Kigpin’s threat, Jack has no option but to submit and do as Fisk has asked him to. However, considering that Duquesne has been able to stand his ground with his swords against multiple enemies, I don’t think he would go down that easily.
