Xreal One Pro product shot in dark background - 1
  • Xreal has unveiled the One Pro AR glasses with X1 chip.
  • The glasses have a larger FoV, are 100 nits brighter, and have a larger screen.
  • Pre-orders have already begun with the device costing $599; Shipping starts in March.

Xreal has been invested in the AR Glasses territory for over two years now. The firm unveiled the Xreal One AR glasses a month ago with its home-made X1 spatial computing chip, and the glasses sold out very soon. However, it looks like the firm isn’t done making AR glasses and has introduced the Xreal One Pro with better overall specifications at CES 2025. Here’s everything you should know.

One of the biggest changes the One Pro brings right out-of-the-box is a 57 – degree field of view (50-degrees on the original). Therefore, the One Pros have a larger spatial screen of 171-inches compared to the One that maxes out at 147-inches. The display is now a 100 nits brighter . The original Xreal One glasses had software-based IPD correction. However, the One Pro has it hardware-based and ranges from 57-66 mm and 66-75 mm.

For those unaware, IPD stands for Inter-pupillary distance. It’s the distance between the center of a person’s pupil and the projection of the glasses. An IPD range of 57-66 mm means the glasses are optimal for users with IPD in that range. This solves the issue where the edges would appear cut off and not visible.

Xreal has also “upgraded” the Pro with a new Sony Micro-OLED measuring 0.55-inches . It’s smaller than the 0.68-inches Sony Micro-OLED on the Xreal One. An interesting thing here is that a smaller display should mean lower FoV, but how did Xreal manage to improve the overall FoV? The answer lies in the flatter prisms inside the glasses.

The glasses also come with a camera attachment, which essentially makes the glasses capable of shooting what’s around you. While we don’t have info about the same, Xreal will probably leverage AI and users can get answers to the questions about the surrounding things.

The One Pro weighs three grams lighter, and that’s where all the differences between them seem to end. Overall, for an extra $100 compared to the Xreal One, the One Pro looks like a pretty compelling upgrade.

If you’re not sure about the X1 chip and the 3D0F jargon, let us explain in simple terms. The original Xreal Air and Air2 all had to rely on external devices like your phone or the Xreal Beam and Beam Pro to render 3DoF, and that wasn’t ideal.

With the Xreal One, the processing required for 3DoF takes place in the glasses itself. At the end of the day, you’re left with less bulk to carry around and an excellent experience, on paper. This also results in a much lower latency of 3ms compared to 12ms on the Vision Pro.

The Xreal One Pros are up for pre-orders at $599 and shipping begins in March 2025 . What are your thoughts on Xreal One Pro or AR glasses in general? Let us know below.

product image of an angled shot of the Movano Evie Ring in front of a peachish gradient background - 3
  • Movano is coming out with their new EvieAI coming to their smart rings.
  • It is post-trained on 100,000 medical journals, including FDA-approved content cross-referenced from Harvard, UCLA, and Mayo Clinic.
  • The AI chatbot achieves high accuracy rates and doesn’t provide answers to unknown topics.

Nearly every device at CES has AI labeled all over it, given its flexibility of use and marketability. But its incoherence and the room for hallucinations make it a poor choice for medical advice. So, companies stray away from it because of the major repercussions it can have on someone’s health and life. But smart ring maker Movano is coming out with their new health and wellness LLM called EvieAI, offering more reliable medical advice.

So EvieAI will only be pulling its information from this data set reducing its chances of hallucinations. The results speak for themselves as the answers from the AI chatbot are 99% accurate. That’s also because EvieAI confirms whether your query tracks with the Movano’s training data. The AI will also follow industry-standard encryption methods. Since chats are deleted periodically, no one will be able to track them back to the users.

Movano’s CEO John Mastrototaro also mentioned that the AI doesn’t shy away from saying no. If you ask anything related to a topic it hasn’t been trained upon, “it’s not going to tell you because it doesn’t have any information about that” according to Mostratotaro. He further added, “I think that it’s okay to say no if you don’t know the answer to something,”

Movano has recently re-released their Evie Ring to customers which addresses feedback on sleep data and heart rate accuracy. The company has also received FDA clearance for the EvieMED ring which is aimed at remote monitoring and clinical trials of patients. The beta version of the EvieAI will be rolling out starting January 8th to current Evie Ring users in their companion app.

Movano is trying to do something that can change the way people perceive AI. Training their LLM on just medical journals will for sure improve the accuracy of results, and they are going to be better than other general AI models. However, even Doctors coincide with each other on the recent development of new techniques and technologies. So its accuracy and how correct it stands with its answers will be interesting to see.

Xbox Prime Featured - 6
  • A new leak from COD leaker TheGhostofHope suggests that Microsoft’s next console will be called Xbox Prime.
  • The next-gen console will apparently be released in 2026, with the final name unclear for now.
  • Hope further claims that the next Call of Duty might be a day-one release for the console.

While we await the trove of gaming-related announcements at CES 2025, it seems a new rumor might have given us some info on Microsoft’s next Xbox. Supposedly titled Xbox Prime , the company’s next-gen console might be coming to us sooner rather than later.

The rumor comes from the X account of TheGhostofHope , a Call of Duty Leaker. While Hope does state to take it with a ‘ huge grain of salt ,’ he does claim that Microsoft’s next console will be called Xbox Prime and will launch sometime in 2026 .

Take this with a huge grain of salt: I’m hearing that the next Xbox console is still coming in 2026 and will be called “Xbox Prime”. Still unclear if it’s a code name or the actual name. I’ve heard Infinity Ward’s next COD is still being considered a day one release for this. https://t.co/JKGMsKU9br — Hope (@TheGhostOfHope) January 6, 2025

However, it’s important to note that it is not clear whether Xbox Prime will be the console’s final name or is just a codename being used inside the company. Nonetheless, the 2026 release date does prove that the Mountain Valley giant has been working on it for quite some time, and we should make an official announcement this year itself.

Xbox Prime Release to Get Call of Duty Day One

Besides the purported name and release date, the leaker has also mentioned that Infinity Ward’s next Call of Duty is being considered as a ‘ day one releas e’ for the console. For those living under a rock, COD is a long-running shooter game franchise that follows multiple timelines. Long lauded for its combat and storyline, the series is well-loved.

It is unclear whether we will see the next Call of Duty in the Xbox Game Pass, but it’s almost obvious, given Microsoft’s release pattern. As such, we do hope to see the upcoming title being paired with the console soon.

With that done and dusted, hopes for a new Xbox Prime being paired with the next COD are high. And while we always suggest taking rumors with a grain of salt, TheGhostofHope has been known to post reliable COD leaks. As Hope hasn’t mentioned their exact source, we are left to guess. It could very well be an internal developer or someone close to the project.
