This week’s update in Grow a Garden brings in all-new dinosaur pets into the game. The Prehistoric update revolves around a prehistoric time, with a new quest system at the center, where you can get dinosaur eggs and pets in Grow a Garden. You can get a Triceratops, a Brontosaurus, a Pterodactyl, or even the mighty T-Rex from dinosaur eggs. There are two simple methods to obtain the Dinosaur Egg in Grow a Garden. One is by submitting pets at the Trade Pets NPC, while the other is by completing the Prehistoric quests . This means you don’t need to spend Sheckles to grab these eggs or pets, so it’s a pretty good deal.

Most of the Dinosaur pets have cool traits, and some even help in boosting your character’s speed or jumping abilities in the game. Some might not have as good abilities as existing Grow a Garden pets , but other dinosaur pets can help you make more money:
- T-Rex: With this pet, you can get high-value mutations on bonus fruits in the game every 20 minutes. Now, think about the Aurora (90x) mutation in Grow a Garden being transferred to more plants in your garden.
- Pterodactyl: Not only does this pet increase your jump height, but the fruits in your garden are guaranteed to get the Windstruck mutation with a small chance to get Twisted.
- Raptor: Your speed is increased, and you have a chance to get the Amber mutations in your fruits.
