Why you should skip Cyrene in Honkai Star Rail - 1

Cyrene is the most anticipated Honkai Star Rail character in Amphoreus. The entire Amphoreus saga is a lead-up to Cyrene’s character release, which is why I am incredibly disappointed to have decided to skip on her in HSR 3.7. Yes, I do want to pull for Cyrene, but her kit has multiple problems that are hard to overlook for F2P or low-spending players. So, here are four reasons I am skipping Cyrene in Honkai Star Rail and why you should too.

1. Ultimate Recharge Time

Cyrene’s biggest issue as a character is her Ultimate recharge time. She takes multiple turns to get her Ultimate up, as it is not based on Energy. But that wouldn’t have been an issue if Cyrene’s kit weren’t so heavily dependent on using her Ultimate. She basically does nothing of value compared to other supports until her Ultimate is used. This makes Cyrene a potential nightmare for zero-cycle challenges or game modes that require you to finish within a certain number of turns.

2. Not Necessary for Most Teams

Another important fact about Cyrene is that she isn’t necessary for any team in Honkai Star Rail. Yes, Cyrene’s kit does give a specific buff for each Chrysos Heir , and she does fit into many of the Amphoreus Chrysos Heir teams. However, she is not required to make any of those teams work. Having her presence would make some of those teams perform better, but their previous best teams are good enough for most challenges in Honkai Star Rail. The only exception to this is Mydei, who hugely benefits from having Cyrene in the team.

3. Not Free To Play Friendly

Cyrene is one of the least free-to-play-friendly characters in the game. To play Cyrene optimally, you do need her Signature Light Cone and Eidolons. This became evident when Hoyoverse used an E6 version of Cyrene for the showcase during the HSR 3.7 livestream. If the developers have to use an E6 character for a showcase, you know that she won’t be feeling very good as an E0. Also, seeing how little Cyrene brings to most teams in the game, F2P players are better off investing in other universal supports like Tribbie, Robin, or Sunday.

4. HSR 4.x is Right Around the Corner

Finally, the biggest reason I am skipping Cyrene is to save Stellar Jades for Honkai Star Rail 4.0’s release. Although we will still have a 3.8 version in between, HSR 4.0 isn’t that far away. And according to the HSR 4.x character leaks , the upcoming roster is going to be incredibly appealing for all HSR players. This is why I am planning to save the Stellar Jades instead of investing in a character with depreciating value for the future metas. If you also want to save Stellar Jades, then don’t forget to check our Honkai Star Rail codes.

  • Edo Star is expected to be the next trailblazing destination in Honkai Star Rail.
  • This planet is nestled within a vast ion storm region and is administered by the IPC.
  • Edo Star was recently attacked by the Anti-Matter Legion, likely led by Celenova.

The world of Honkai Star Rail is filled with countless planets, many of which are referenced in the story now and then. Edo Star is one of the planets that directly shares an etymology with Japanese culture, something that has been missing in Honkai Star Rail so far. It is widely believed that Edo Star is the next destination in HSR , but is that true? Here is everything we know so far about the rumored Edo Star planet in HSR and our take on whether it is the next trailblazing destination.

What is Edo Star in Honkai Star Rail?

Edo Star is one of the planets in the vast Honkai Star Rail universe. This place is particularly famous among players as it was one of the suggested destinations at the end of the Penacony arc. After the Astral Express crew agreed to head to Edo Star, Black Swan came up with the proposal to visit the HSR 3.0 expansion region, Amphoreus .

From the game’s lore, we know that Edo Star is a planet nestled within a vast ion storm region and is administered by the IPC. We have also learned that Edo Star was attacked by the Antimatter Legion, led by the Lord Ravager Celenova. Although IPC claims to have fought off the attack, the planet is under temporary lockdown.

Is Edo Star the Next Destination for Honkai Star Rail?

It is most likely that Edo Star is the next destination for the Astral Crew after Amphoreus shenanigans. Most leaks hint at Edo Star, although the name for the next location has yet to be revealed officially. So, how do the leaks point to it?

First of all, the Honkai Star Rail character 4.x leak revealed that Yae Sakura and Pearl are expected to become playable, alongside other new characters. Yae Sakura has been leaked to have a Japanese Samurai-style appearance, and Pearl is one of the Ten Stonehearts of the IPC.

Moreover, Edo generally refers to the “Edo” period in Japanese culture. So, if we put all the hints together, it more than likely hints that Edo Star is the next destination, seeing how both a big IPC and a Japanese character are becoming playable in the next arc.

Also, we have yet to see a Japanese-inspired world in Honkai Star Rail. Both Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd have their respective versions of Japan, so Edo Star being the next destination for HSR is quite plausible.
