This film series is one that is truly close to my heart. If you are looking for a movie series that could make you feel like listening to one of those grandma’s stories all over again, Narnia is the way to go.

The setting of this movie is as beautiful as it gets, and the performances of both Mia Wasikowska and Johnny Depp are truly commendable. Alice in Wonderland bagged three nominations at the 83rd Academy Awards and won the award for Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design as well.

If you are really into dragons, Damsel is a fantasy movie that will bring you exactly what you want. This movie brings us Lord Bayford, who receives a proposal of marriage for his daughter, Elodie, from the Kingdom of Aurea. Initially, as they travel to Aurea, everything seems to be a fairytale, but as soon as the wedding takes place, it turns out to be an absolute nightmare. Elodie finds out that the marriage was a hoax just so the king and queen could sacrifice her to a fire-breathing dragon.
Just to make it clear, Damsel is not a movie about a damsel in distress and is something that will leave you with goosebumps by the end. This movie is an absolute delight to watch and will keep you on the edge of your seat till the very end.

Even though Harry Potter is a beloved and cherished franchise quite literally all over the world, the franchise has never bagged a single Oscar, the reason for which is beyond me. So, if you are someone who has not watched Harry Potter movies , I highly recommend you give it a shot.

Originally, Jumanji revolved around a board game, which, when played, unleashes real-life horrors on the players, which can only be sent back into the game if one of the players manages to finish the game.
Jumanji is probably one of the most immersive fantasy movies out there. Even in 1995, the practical effects and VFX done on this movie were way ahead of its time. If you are someone who has watched the newer parts of Jumanji, watching the first movie is an absolute must for you.

There, she befriends Flip, played by Jason Momoa, and embarks on a journey to bring her father back. This movie is a visual extravaganza and is something you can enjoy with your family.

- IMDb/Rotten Tomato Rating: 7.1/53%
- Director: Espen Sandberg, Joachim Rønning, Gore Verbinski, Rob Marshall
- Cast : Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush, Kevin McNally
Pirates of the Caribbean is one of the longest-running franchises in the fantasy genre. This franchise could be said to be the project that brought Johnny Depp to the heights of his fame. All movies in the franchise revolve around a crew of pirates who were turned into undead, led by Captain Jack Sparrow. Each movie brings us a different adventure the crew embarks on, but you have been warned: once you watch Pirates of the Caribbean, there is no going back, and you will find yourself hooked unless you finish all of the movies.
Pirates of the Caribbean is not just a fun watch, but it features some of the best visuals you will ever witness in a movie. Along with that, the charm of Captain Jack Sparrow is unmatched and is, to date, the crown jewel of this franchise. Even though Pirates of the Caribbean has not won any Oscars, it has bagged five nominations for itself.
How to Train Your Dragon (Live Action)

Image Credit: Universal Pictures (via YouTube/Universal Pictures, Screenshot By Aparna Ukil/Beebom)

- IMDb/Rotten Tomato Rating: 7.8/ 77%
- Director: Dean DeBlois
- Cast : Mason Thames, Nico Parker, Gerard Butler, Julian Dennison, Gabriel Howell, Bronwyn James
Even though I am certain that most of you have already watched the original, animated How to Train Your Dragon movie, trust me when I say that you are seriously missing out if you didn’t watch its live-action adaptation. You can check out the How to Train Your Dragon (2025) review here before deciding to watch it. Sure, the movie is exactly like the first one in terms of story, but the way it has been carried out in live action is something that is truly majestic. The casting, the setting, and most importantly, the CGI work done on this movie are simply phenomenal. So, take my word for it, and check out How to Train Your Dragon’s live-action remake.
The Sorcerer’s Apprentice

Image Credit: Walt Disney Pictures (via YouTube/Disney UK, Screenshot By Aparna Ukil/Beebom)
- Release Date: July 14, 2010
- IMDb/Rotten Tomato Rating: 6.1/40%
- Director: Jon Turteltaub
- Cast : Nicolas Cage, Jay Baruchel, Alfred Molina, Teresa Palmer, Monica Bellucci
The Sorcerer’s Apprentice brings us Dave Stutler, an average guy whose life is turned upside down when Balthazar Blake, a sorcerer played by Nicholas Cage, appoints him as his apprentice. He wished to teach Dave the ways of a good wizard to help Balthazar fight against Maxim Horvath, an evil sorcerer, to protect Manhattan from being destroyed.
There’s not a lot to be said about this movie because it’s pretty straightforward in its approach. Although I would like to say that the combat sequence between Balthazar and Maxim is pretty awesome. This might not be the greatest movie out there, but if you are looking for a light watch where you can just chill and watch something where you don’t have to put in effort to understand what is happening, this fantasy movie is the perfect pick for you.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves

Image Credit: Paramount Pictures (via YouTube/ Paramount Pictures, Screenshot By Aparna Ukil/Beebom)
- Release Date: March 31, 2023
- IMDb/Rotten Tomato Rating: 7.2/91%
- Director: Jonathan Goldstein, John Francis Daley
- Cast : Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, Hugh Grant
This movie has everything you would expect from a proper fantasy movie. It has wizards, monsters, and thieves, and it follows the age-old formula of a band of misfits embarking on an epic quest where each of them gradually becomes the best version of themselves.
Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves might not have the most complex of plots, but it will give you a worthwhile and entertaining 2 hours and 14 minutes. There is nothing that special about this movie, but it is still entertaining and enjoyable to watch with your kids and family.
So, these were the top fantasy movies, you should binge-watch in 2026.

In fact, there are also some that several fans missed watching in theatres. So, with the year coming to an end, we have listed the five best movies of 2025 that you can stream on Netflix right now.

Netflix’s Frankenstein is one of the best screen adaptations of the 1818 classic novel. Do you think you know the movie’s story? Well, you might be proved wrong. Frankenstein was Guillermo del Toro’s dream project, so he crafted a brilliant story based on the original. Well, the best part of his vision was that he didn’t make the creature seem like a mere horror; instead, he allowed us to see the creature’s human side.
Frankenstein follows Victor Frankenstein, a scientist, who is fascinated with death. So, he creates a creature using the body parts of the corpses. However, after the creature comes to life, Victor becomes frustrated with its appearance and the way it speaks and moves. He abandons him, but the creature, unable to accept rejection, follows Victor to seek answers.

Unlike the previous instalments, this one comes with a more serious and intriguing plot. On top of everything, Daniel Craig’s Blanc has evolved more than ever and appears as a fully realised detective in Wake Up Dead Man.
The story of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery kicks off with the murder of a religious leader in a small upstate New York church. A troubled priest of the church becomes the prime suspect, but when Blanc enters the picture, he instantly realises there is more beneath the surface that has not yet come to light.

Above all, we also see the lead protagonists dealing with the supernatural while maintaining their normal lives.
Kpop Demon Hunters follow a girl group, who are Kpop idols during the day and trained demon hunters at night. They have taken on the responsibility of protecting the human world from the demonic threats that emerge from time to time. So, basically, when on stage, they are not only performing for their audience, but they are also creating an energy with their music that weakens the demons, keeping their fans safe.

Bring Her Back is one of those horror movies that depends on cheap jump scares. Instead, it makes the horror feel personal wth the unsettling setting and the uneasy silences. Besides that, it features a slow-burning story that rewards those who unapologetically stick to it until the very end.
Andy and Piper are placed in the care of a foster mother, Laura, after the death of their father. As the story moves forward, Laura is seen desperate to bring her dead daughter back to life. So, she decides to use blind Piper as a vessel.

If you enjoy action films, this one is perfectly suitable for you.
